SCC youth to take part in 30 Hour Famine
Sanibel Community Church’s H2O Student Ministries will participate in the event 30 Hour Famine on Jan. 2 at 10 a.m. through Jan. 3 at 4 p.m. to raise awareness for world hunger and poverty.
The students will fast together for 30 hours and raise funds to fight hunger.
They will be doing service projects focused on helping, or learning about hunger and poverty. There will also be games, guest speakers, worship, movie, city built out of cardboard boxes and more.
On Jan. 3, the teens will enjoy a dinner together to end the fast from 4 to 5 p.m.
All monies raised will be sent to World Vision International, an Evangelical Christian humanitarian aid organization.
