Sanibel to reuse 2016 hurricane re-entry passes again
In the city of Sanibel’s continuing efforts to control costs, it is going to continue using the 2016 hurricane re-entry series passes.
Residents and businesses issued a 2016 pass should keep it for use in 2019.
Hurricane season ended on Nov. 30.
Used after an evacuation, the passes aid security, speed reentry and provide traffic control at a time when the city must keep traffic to a minimum, officials reported. Those without a 2016 pass should get one immediately, as the pass program is about safety and security.
Acquiring the pass requires a short application and specific documentation.
