Bank of the Islands will be a silver sponsor for the Sanibel Historical Museum and Village’s Historical Village Gala on Feb. 19 from 6 to 10 a.m. at The Community House on Sanibel.

The theme of the event is “An Evening on the Old Algiers.”

“We are so honored to be a silver sponsor for this year’s event,” Bank of the Islands Vice President and Sanibel-Captiva Office Manager Willy Ocasio said. “It’s so important to share stories like the Algiers for future generations of islanders to enjoy. The historical museum’s gala is an evening not to be missed.”

The gala will include a buffet dinner and dancing, as well as opportunities to learn about the history of the Algiers river boat that once sat on the beaches of Sanibel.

Tickets can be purchased at sanibelmuseum.org or 239-472-4648.

“We are grateful to the Trust Company for its generous support of our event,” Emilie Alfino, executive director of the village, said. “They have demonstrated strong support not just for the village but for the entire island community.”

The Sanibel Historical Museum and Village is at 950 Dunlop Road.
