Hirdie Girdie spotlights two artists for month
Hirdie Girdie Gallery is highlighting three member artists in December.
Tania Begg is a multi-talented artist best known for her intricate, semi-precious beaded animal sculptures. Available in various sizes, they can be displayed on a tabletop or hung on a wall. Begg also creates jewelry, stone sculptures and bird sculptures with tissue paper and Scotch packing tape.
Bonnie Langenfeld’s framed fabric art pieces are often mistaken for photographs or paintings, but are actually composed of commercial fabric and thread. She arranges cut fabrics into a composition and joins them by gluing, fusing or sewing. Langenfeld then adds details with free motion or conventional stitching. Her newest creations are bowls, boxes and wall pieces done using the same techniques.
Tracy Owen Cullimore is known for her expressive impressionist-style oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings. Her subject matter is varied, from seascapes and landscapes to animals and portraiture. Cullimore’s broad, dynamic brush strokes and use of color, composition and design combine to create paintings that sparkle with energy and vitality.
