City to conduct road striping project at night
The city of Sanibel reported that the contractor for the annual street resurfacing project will start on Dec. 17 and work from 9 p.m. and 6 p.m. to restore existing worn and cracked road striping.
The areas where the work will be conducted include:
– Causeway Boulevard from Periwinkle Way to the Causeway Bridge
– Periwinkle Way from Huxters Market and Deli west to Roadside City Park
– Donax intersection
Weather permitting, the city anticipates completion by Dec. 21.
Access to residences and businesses will be maintained at all times.
The public is reminded to drive slowly and cautiously through the areas when workers are present. A Sanibel police officer will also be present on site throughout the night work.
