‘1927 Gala’ to celebrate history of island venue
The Community House will host its first annual “1927 Gala” on Jan. 25 for the community.
The event will celebrate 90-plus years of the venue’s presence on Sanibel. It will feature surprise historical characters from the island’s past, who will interact with the guests. Attendees will also enjoy top-notch food, drink and music, as well as a live auction with items donated by local businesses.
Mariel and Porter Goss will serve as the honorary chairs.
The gala will serve as the organization’s chief fundraiser for 2019.
Individuals tickets are $150 or people can reserve a table.
There are also sponsorship levels available.
