The Parishioners for Justice for Father Christopher Senk held a candlelight vigil and prayer service on Nov. 4 on Sanibel. Over 125 people gathered to commemorate the anniversary of Bishop Frank Dewane placing him on administrative leave. On Oct. 28, 2016, Senk was relieved of his duties as pastor of St. Isabel Church following allegations that he solicited money from an elderly parishioner. He was also removed him his parish home and forbidden to celebrate Mass publicly or return to church property without explicit permission. The Parishioners for Justice reported that Senk was since been cleared of the charges by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. For more information, visit online at www.parishionersforjustice.com.
