Shell Islands Garden Club to present Festival of Wreaths
The Shell Islands Garden Club will hold its Festival of Wreaths fundraiser on Dec. 11 beginning at 11:30 a.m. at The Community House, at 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
Attendees can bid on an assortment of wreaths that have been created by the club members during a silent auction. The wreaths are currently on display in the North Room of The Community House.
Along with the auction, designer Carol Kolar will present the program “Dreaming of a White House Holiday.” She decorated the White House for Christmas in 2017.
Light holiday refreshments and beverages will be served.
The fundraiser is free and open to the public, with a suggested $5 donation.
From October through May, the Shell Islands Garden Club meets at The Community House on the second Tuesday of the month with a buffet lunch, program and business meeting. Annual dues are $25. Fundraisers benefit local charitable groups that promote native horticulture and gardening practices.
