Starting on Nov. 11, the historic Captiva Chapel by the Sea will again hold worship services on Sundays at 11 a.m. Running through the end of April, the weekly services will mark their 70th season. The inter-denominational services are led by the Rev. Dr. John N. Cedarleaf. The Captiva School and Chapel-by-the-Sea Historic District, including the Historic Captiva Cemetery, can be found on the National Park Service’s National Register of Historic Places. The chapel is open daily for visitors to learn how the early 1900’s school house became a house of worship. The weekly services are also open to the public. For more information, call 239-472-1646 or visit online at www.captivachapel.com or www.facebook.com/Captiva-Chapel-By-The-Sea. The Chapel by the Sea is at 11580 Chapin Lane.
