SCA launches membership drive
November is Membership Drive Month for the Sanibel Community Association.
For the last 90 years, The Community House has been a gathering place for residents. An island tradition, the facility has been open since 1927, serving as a true “home” for Sanibel and Captiva’s civic and social life. With 2018 coming to a close, the annual Membership Drive is in full swing.
Individual memberships start at $50, family memberships are $100 and business memberships are $150; membership and gifts are tax deductible. Members receive multiple benefits, including:
– Discounted admission to programming
– Preferred access to SCA sponsored events
– Access to The Community House for private events
– “Members only” events throughout the year
The Community House has remained in operation thanks to the generosity of the community. It receives no support from public funds or tax dollars, but each year it looks to its residents to provide contributions, rental fees and membership fees. It is the goal of the SCA is to support the community with social events, programs and volunteer opportunities, as well as provide low fee rental space for non-profits, service organizations and clubs.
