San-Cap Orchid Society to host holiday luncheon
The Sanibel Captiva Orchid Society will hold its annual holiday luncheon on Dec. 10 at 11:30 a.m. at The Dunes Golf and Tennis Club, at 949 Sand Castle Road, Sanibel.
Guest speak Mac Rivenbark, of Mac’s Orchids out of Fort Lauderdale, will talk about “Orchid Growing for Everyone.” He will also bring orchids to sell and to raffle off at the luncheon.
Cost is $25 for members and $30 for guests, with tax and gratuity included.
The lunch selections, which should be indicated when making a reservation, are cheese tortellini with chicken tossed in a creamy Parmesan sauce or Caribbean-dusted mahi mahi with island rice and seasonal vegetables. The entrees come with a salad and choice of dressing, rolls, beverage and dessert.
Reservations with checks must be made by Dec. 6.
Yearly dues must be current to receive the members’ price.
