Guild hears from retired Navy captain
The St. Isabel’s Women’s Guild held its monthly meeting on Nov. 15 with guest speaker Ret. U.S. Navy Capt. Nori Ann Reed. She spoke on women in the military and shared her first-hand experience of the events of Sept. 11. In an effort to spread holiday cheer to those who might be in need, annual programs were begun to benefit children and the elderly. The Christmas Angel Tree project will once again provide toys for migrant children, as well as various items for area seniors. Tags will be hung on a special tree for parishioners to take and purchase gifts to be distributed to the Lee County Catholic Charities.
