Lions to host 31st Annual Feather Bingo For Charity
The Sanibel-Captiva Lions Club will host Feather Bingo for Charity on Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. at The Community House on Sanibel.
A turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be served, with numerous games and $400 in prizes up for grabs. There is a mystery caller who will keep the evening entertaining, plus a cash bar available.
“Feather Bingo, now it its 31st year, has always been a good time with good food for a worthy cause,” event organizer and Lion Hazella Viellette said. “Guests are invited to join us for the only Bingo night on the island.”
Entrance fee is $20, which includes dinner; Bingo cards and games sold separately.
The club offers the opportunity to actively make a difference in the community, from hosting complimentary adult health screenings to collecting used eyeglasses through its Recycle for Sight boxes at various locations on both islands. Lions are also known to volunteer for many things.
“We serve where we live, as well as globally through Lions Club International, and have fun doing it,” Hazella said. “Wonderful things are accomplished when you are part of the largest service organization and a generous community.”
