Historical Sanibel photographs to be featured at fundraiser
Coastal Keepers will hold a second rendition of its annual fundraiser, The Launch, on Nov. 17 from 6 to 10 p.m. at The Community House on Sanibel.
The evening will include cocktails, a sustainable dinner, live and silent auctions, a 50/50 raffle and a few very special surprises – all in support of local conservation initiatives. Guests will have a chance to own a piece of the island’s history at the live auction.
Artwork will be on display featuring photographer Charlie McCullough. An exciting addition to the photographs will be Ralph Woodring’s recounts. Woodring and his mother, Esperanza, were popular subjects of McCullough’s work. The grandson of Sanibel pioneers and commercial fishermen, he still resides on the Woodring Homestead on Woodring Point.
Tickets are $100 per person, including dinner and drinks.
