The Saint Isabel Catholic Church’s Women’s Guild held its first meeting of the season on Oct. 25. Newly-elected President Annette Hendrick introduced the guest speaker, Angel C. Duncan from the Neuropsychiatric Research Center. Duncan’s presentation, “Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease: Facts, Figures and Future Outlook,” covered topics like managing dementia and barriers to helping patients live well with the disease. The program was followed by a question-and-answer period. Non-perishable food items were donated by the guild for distribution to Catholic charities in Fort Myers. Membership is open to all women of the parish. To join, contact the Membership Chair Dottie McGovern.
