The Lee County Supervisor of Elections office will begin mailing ballots for the Nov. 6 General Election on Oct. 5. If a voter requests a Vote-by-Mail ballot after Oct. 5, their ballot will be mailed within two days of their request.

Voters should plan to return their ballot in the mail no later than Oct. 30. After that, voters will need to drop their ballots off at any of the four office locations no later than 5 p.m. Nov. 5 or at the main office before 7 p.m. Election Day.

To request a Vote-by-Mail ballot, voters may call 239-LEE-VOTE (533-8683) or visit lee.vote and click on the Vote-by-Mail Request form. The deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot for the General Election is 5 p.m. Oct. 31.

The United States Postal Service will not forward a Vote-by-Mail ballot.

Per Florida law, the Lee County Supervisor of Elections will notify an elector who has returned a Vote-by-Mail ballot that does not include the elector’s signature or contains a signature that does not match the elector’s signature on record. The supervisor shall allow such an elector to complete and submit an affidavit in order to cure the Vote-by-Mail ballot.

Voters can find the Omitted Signature Affidavit and Signature Cure Affidavit under the Vote-by-Mail tab on lee.vote.
