Doves President and Chief Designer Doron Hakimian will take part in a trunk show on Nov. 9 at Lily & Co. Jewelers, then participate in the “Raise A Racket For Clean Water” event the following day.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome back Doron to our wonderful island,” Dan Schuyler, co-owner of Lily & Co. with Karen Bell. “It is a real treat to have him join us in our tennis event, too.”

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the trunk show will feature pieces inspired by nature.

“Doron combines 18-karat gold, diamonds and precious gemstones to create unique treasures,” Schuyler said. “His attention to detail produces a dramatic creation, yet it’s his unrelenting pursuit of perfection that sets his designs apart.”

Growing up in a family of precious gem stone manufacturers, Hakimian discovered his talent for creating jewelry when he spent a summer sketching pieces for the family business. His gift for drawing, along with an architect’s eye, proved to be a winning combination. Today, each piece begins with a pencil and sketch board.

In the past several years, Doves’ designs have received celebrity attention, with exclusive pieces being designed for former First Lady Michelle Obama, Jennifer Lopez, Catherine Zeta-Jones and others.

Hosted at the Beachview Tennis Club on Sanibel, the charity tennis event will take place on Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Legendary coach Nick Bollettieri is partnering in on the fundraiser, with the event proceeds to benefit the clean water efforts through the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation.

Players will receive instruction by Bollettieri and his IMG Academy pros, as well as have the chance to win raffle prizes from Lily & Co., Sanibel Catering Co., Beachveiw Tennis Club and IMG Academy.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to once again visit Lily & Company,” Hakimian said. “From the first time I met Dan and Nick, I knew they had big hearts. This special tennis event really represents a small portion of what they do for their community. I am just delighted to be a part of it.”

Lily & Co. Jewelers is at 520 Tarpon Bay Road, Sanibel.
