Registration open for The Sanibel School students ‘Welcome Back to School’ Dodgeball Tournament
On Sept. 14 at 2:30 p.m. in the Sanibel Recreation Center Gymnasium, the Welcome Back to School Dodgeball Tournament will take place for The Sanibel School students. There will be two divisions in this tournaments: a grades 3-5 division and a grades 6-8 division. The winning team from each league will receive a special prize and have the opportunity to play against a team of teachers from The Sanibel School.
Interested students should form teams of 5-6 players and submit a Team Registration Form. Each player on the team needs to submit a liability form and their $8 registration fee in order to qualify for the tournament. All required forms can be found attached to the Monday Reporter. Students can also get forms from their classroom teacher, Mr. Giangreco, Mrs. Scarnato, or the front office.
All materials must be submitted to your classroom or homeroom teacher no later than Sept. 13. Materials submitted beyond this deadline will not be accepted. Additionally, all dodgeball teams should come up with a uniform to wear for the tournament (special matching t-shirts, socks, shoes, etc.). On the day of the tournament, students will be able to wear their dodgeball team’s uniform to school to get in the spirit of the tournament. Keep in mind that these uniforms must be school appropriate or your team will be disqualified from the competition.
Parents, family, and friends are welcome to come watch and cheer on their favorite team during the Dodgeball Tournament. A concessions stand will also be available for food and drink purchases during the tournament.
This tournament serves as a fundraiser for Seahorse Chorale towards their upcoming performance trip to Walt Disney World and for the Athletic Department to help support their upcoming sports season.
