Community coming together

Three organizations and their members have stepped up to help Community Housing and Resources’ residents with their children’s school supplies for the upcoming year. The Sanibel-Captiva Optimist Club, Friends Who Care and Sanibel Community Church recently delivered separate donations to help provide assistance to the families. The Sanibel-Captiva Optimist Club donated $1,150 in the form of a Walmart gift card and Friends Who Care donated $1,400 in the form of a Target gift card, while Sanibel Community Church donated a backpack for every child.
