The winning teams of the 39th Annual Sanibel-Captiva Road Rally on July 4 were recognized. The Sanibel-Captiva Optimist Club reported that Driving Miss Crazy took first place, scoring a three-day two-night stay at the West Wind Inn on Sanibel. Second place went to The Titanic Swim Team, earning the team a pair of tickets on the Key West Express. Sanibel Sassy Sunshine Sisters came in at third place, winning four gift certificate to Floral Artistry Of Sanibel. The coveted last place – which gets a free do-over next year – went to The Barton Gang. The award for best decorated vehicle was earned by The Dabbin’ Dolphins for the team’s hand-painted dolphin mural on the vehicle and its big dolphin on top. In addition, the 50/50 winner was Randy Underwood.
