Friends Jack Graber, 17, from Wake Forest, North Carolina, and David Cain, 21, from Bedford, Pennsylvania, caught a roughly 40-inch snook today at Blind Pass. According to Jack’s aunt, Amy Wainwright, the two spend each day casting during their vacation summer breaks from school on the islands. They have been having a lot of luck fishing in the early morning hours and used fresh bait fish called mahara to snag the snook.
