Balance workshop planned
FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center will host a balance workshop on July 10 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at 4301 Sanibel Captiva Road, Sanibel.
Attendees will have an opportunity to have a balance screening and consultation with a certified balance specialist physical therapist.
The event is free.
Seating is limited, so reservations are required at 239-395-1097.
Rabbit Road Property Management recognized
Sanibel-based Rabbit Road Property Management has earned Accredited Member status from the National Home Watch Association.
Owners Shah and Patty Hadjebi opened the company shortly after moving to the island. Previously, Shah Hadjebi owned and operated a full-service property management company in Boston, Massachusetts, for over 20 years. Patty Hadjebi was in real estate.
Shah Hadjebi recently received his Community Association Management license, and Patty Hadjebi is in the process of getting hers.

Sanibel Captiva Community Bank announces the hiring of Cassie Spara as a teller at its College Parkway branch in Fort Myers.
She is responsible for assisting customers with personal and business banking transactions.
A Fort Myers resident since 2015, Spara earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Florida Gulf Coast University.

SanCap Community Bank promotes Almeida
Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has promoted Christina Almeida to senior vice president at its College Parkway branch in Fort Myers.
She is responsible for supervising and overseeing all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program for the bank.
Almeida joined the company in February and has more than two decades of banking experience, including previous positions as compliance officer and vice president. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Monmouth University in New Jersey and moved to Southwest Florida in 2005. Almeida received her Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist certification and is a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.
Platt announces opening of hew office
A Sanibel attorney since 2003, David M. Platt announced the formation of a new law office.
It will be located at 2427 Periwinkle Way, Suite B, Sanibel.
Platt has over 35 years experience as an estate planning and business attorney. He concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning and administration, probate litigation, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, real estate and business entity formation.
A Sanibel resident, Platt frequently speaks and writes on estate planning and business matters for financial planners, accountants and attorneys, as well as the general public. He is an adjunct professor of law at the Michigan State University College of Law and is the author of several publications.
Platt has been recognized for his work in estate planning and probate by Florida Super Lawyers magazine (2012-2018) and Best Lawyers In America (2006-2018) in estate planning and contested probate litigation. He also holds the highest AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
