Citizens of the Week
Kindergarteners and first-grade students earn Sea Horse tickets for good behavior, a helpful attitude and an eagerness to learn. Each week, the school selects a Sea Horse ticket winner from the classes. The winners get to select a prize from the prize cabinet. The following students are the recent Citizens of the Week: Jonathan Chavez-Santana, Reed Curran, Addison Quillen and Spencer Sultz.
Leadership Day
The Sanibel School will host its first Leadership Day on May 25 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. The community is invited to the school to see what the students are doing to develop their leadership skills.
Attendees do not have to have a child enrolled to participate. The event will start in the cafetorium with a presentation, followed by student-led tours. ID will be required when signing in at the front office.

‘The Lion King Jr.’
The Sanibel School’s Performing Arts will present Disney’s “The Lion King Jr.” on May 17-18 at 7 p.m. in the cafetorium. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Students in grades K-5 will receive one complimentary ticket. The Elementary Choir and Seahorse Chorale will serve as the opening acts.
