School district to host public forum on sales tax referendum on Sanibel
The School District of Lee County is inviting parents, interested parties and the community to two public forums – one on Sanibel – about the sales tax referendum on the November ballot.
The first will be held May 1 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Next Level Church in Fort Myers.
The second will be held May 3 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at The Community House.
Lee County Superintendent Dr. Greg Adkins and School Board Member Chris Patricca will present “Change-for-Change, the Facts about the School Board’s Half-Cent Investment in our Children.”
Topics to be covered include:
– Capital need
– Why a sales tax?
– How will the money be spent?
There will be time set aside for question-and answer sessions after the presentations.
