Bill Schecker was presented with the Gordon Schopfer Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Sanibel Community Association held its annual meeting on April 25 at The Community House. The new board members were voted in, consisting of Becky Davison, Roger Grogman, Kathy Samson and Jeff Weigel. The new board officers were also elected, including Richard Johnson, president; Lew Gould, vice president; Barbara Maughan, secretary; and Darrin Grotian, treasurer. In addition, Bill Schecker was presented with the Gordon Schopfer Lifetime Achievement Award, which is awarded in honor of the dedication and giving spirit of longstanding members of The Community House. The Community House is at 2173 Periwinkle Way.
