Diner’s Delight coupon books selling out fast
May 1 will mark the first day that the Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club’s 2018 Diner’s Delight coupon book can be used at local restaurants, and they are being snapped up quickly. The 2-for-1 coupons help to draw customers at a time when the islands’ seasonal visitors are leaving town. Twenty-eight island restaurants are represented this year, with coupons for casual venues to elegant dining establishments. The coupons also encourage diners to visit new places they do not frequent and to try different menu items. Customers get two entrees for the price of one – a potential savings of over $500. A limited number of books is made available, and they sell out every year. For a $40 donation, the books are available at the Bank of the Islands, Sanibel Captiva Community Bank and Big Red Q Printing. They can also be obtained from any Kiwanis member. The proceeds underwrite recreational and educational activities for the island’s youth, including the Kiwanis Scholarship Program.
