UPDATE:

The city of Sanibel reports that traffic accident has been cleared from the B Span of the causeway.

Traffic flow will likely be heavy for the rest of the day.

Motorists should still plan travel accordingly.

Sanibel Police Chief Dalton continues to use everyone to be patient.

At 1:53 p.m. today, the Sanibel Police Department reported that a traffic crash had occurred on the B Span of the causeway and is affecting traffic in the area.

Once the traffic accident clears, traffic flow will begin to normalize.

Motorists should plan travel accordingly.

Sanibel Police Chief Dalton urges all motorists to be patient.

The city will issue an all-clear once the accident has been cleared.
