Piano duet recital at St. Michael & All Angels
St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church will present a duet piano recital on April 4 at 6 p.m.
Part of the church’s Nourishment for Body, Mind and Spirit series, it will feature pianists Roxane Olevsky and Jan Holly. They will perform music by Bach, Beethoven, Ravel, Gershwin and Cole Porter on a Steinway Model O grand piano, furnished by Prospero’s Acoustic Art in Naples.
“Steinways are known for their bright shimmering sound,” Holly said. “This characteristic enhances four-hand music, which distributes themes and figurative passages equally in both high and low registers.”
Free and open to the public, the recital will be followed by a brief Compline Service in the Sanctuary and a potluck supper in the Parish Hall. Bring your favorite dish and dinnerware if you can.
