Community Church honors graduating island seniors

2 min read

Sanibel Community Church’s youth ministry H20 is honored to congratulate this year’s high school graduates. They are Brodie Burns, David Fastenau, Porter Goss, Abby Haas, Mariah Budd and Kate Stone.

On Sunday, May 18, these graduating young people will be honored during the church’s services.

Budd and Stone are graduating from Fort Myers High School. Budd will be attending Auburn University in the fall, and Stone will be attending Florida State University this summer.

Burns is planning on taking a year sabbatical to explore his interests, especially in the area of music, yet performing, writing, touring, and reviewing all possibilities.

Goss will be graduating from Canterbury School this May and will be attending Wake Forest University in August.

Haas will be taking a year off before attending college and interning for two non-profit organizations, one in Jacksonville this fall and the other in Nashville next spring. She still is unsure where she wants to go to school and what she wants to study, but is trusting God will make that clear in the upcoming year.

Fastenau plans to continue to work with his step-father at Wooster TV, learning first-hand how to run a business first. He plans on attending college, but is waiting for God’s guidance as to a course of study.

The Sanibel Community Church is located at 1740 Periwinkle Way (next to Jerry’s Market).
