Recipes still needed for charitable cookbook project

1 min read

Sandy Stilwell is asking residents and visitors to Captiva and Sanibel to submit recipes for her island cookbook concept.

The money raised from the sale of the cookbooks will go to the Salvation Army and soup kitchen to feed the hungry.

Stilwell asks that all Sanibel and Captiva residents and visitors email their favorite recipes — including ingredients and preparation — to her by Nov. 1.

All islanders have to do is send in their recipes and Stilwell will take care of the formating and publishing. She said she plans to sell the books at the Latte Da Coffee Shop and Captiva Pizza.

Recipes for anything and everything are more than welcome and everyone who sends in a recipe will get credit for their submission.

“I’ve received a lot of great recipes so far, but we still need more,” Stilwell said.

In addition to recipes, Stilwell is asking islanders to submit creative title ideas for the cookbook.
