Sanibel author Karen Kirk Richards sits outside Toys Ahoy with Bruce Kiel, illustrator for both of her children’s books. The duo was selling and signing copies of “Lovey the Piano Cat” and Richards’ latest book “There’s a Secret on Sanibel and Captiva, Too!” If you are still searching for that ideal Christmas gift for the child in your life, Richards will be at the Island Book Nook, 2330 Palm Ridge Road, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 19 signing copies of both her books and offering free gift wrapping. She will make another appearance Dec. 20 at Toys Ahoy in Periwinkle Place with free gift wrapping available.
