Jerry Stawski Trio featured at Tradition’s Prime Jazz Night
Traditions on the Beach, the beachfront casual dining restaurant, bar and lounge located inside the historic Island Inn on Sanibel, has a special jazz evening in store on Wednesday, Oct. 26, with a special performance by the Jerry Stawski Trio.
The band will transport the dining guests at Traditions back in time to the soulful era of the Roaring Twenties. Stawski, a veteran in the jazz industry, is well known for his performances at the Naples Ritz-Carlton, entertaining some very demanding jazz aficionados. Andrea Mucciga, host of Traditions on the Beach, has seen the Jerry Stawski Trio play several times and knew that they would be a big hit on Sanibel at his restaurant.
“Our guests have really enjoyed the live jazz evenings and the atmosphere they create,” said Mucciga. “We are planning to bring in a range of different jazz artists throughout the season.”
Traditions will feature the delicious Prime Rib dinner special, along with their regular casual fine dining menu, prepared by talented Chef Aziz.
“We feel we bring the perfect combination to our guests, fine food, soulful Jazz, located in the best beachfront property on Sanibel,” Mucciga added.
Stawski is also currently the co-leader of the Naples Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra, whose concerts feature a wide range of world class jazz artists. He has also played with the Symphony of Southwest Florida, Naples Jazz Society, the Southwest Florida Jazz Society, the Charlotte County Jazz Society and the Italian Cultural Society.
Traditions on the Beach offers beachfront dining and live music Monday through Saturday, with piano man Joe McCormick and featuring vocalists Marvilla Marzan and Barbara Smith. Reservations for Prime Rib Special and Prime Jazz Night are suggested, and can be made by calling 472-4559.
