BMSM to present Friday Lunch Hour series

The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum will host another monthly “Friday Lunch Hour at the Museum” series this season.
The programs run from noon until 1 p.m. and are free to visitors with a paid admission and museum members. Those in attendance are welcome to bring along a lunch to enjoy during the presentation.
The fall guest speakers lineup includes sea life photographer Jim Wedge (Oct. 14), popular Sanibel author Christine Lemmon (Nov. 11) and sea adventurer/shell collector/photographer Rob Masino (Dec. 9).
The first program with Jim Wedge is entitled “Living Seashells & Other Mollusks.” It will feature photos including cowries and cones found in the Mid and Western Pacific area of Micronesia, as well as colorful mollusks that exist without forming shells. Related Florida shells will also be discussed.
