At Family Day held at BIG Arts on Sunday, The Sanibel School’s Junior Performing Arts and Performing Arts troupes gave a sneak preview of their upcoming production of “Alice In Wonderland,” which will run at The Sanibel School on Thursday and Friday nights, May 27 and 28 as well as June 3 and 4.

This production of “Alice In Wonderland” is directed by Joe Angelo, The Sanibel School’s music teacher. He has been producing musicals for the last seven years with the help of school parents who build sets, make costumes and direct the stage crew during performances.

The Sanibel School is extremely grateful for the incredible parent involvement and community support including the opportunity to perform in Schein Hall on Family Day!

After the sneak preview performance, live music on the patio from The Sanibel School’s Steel Drum Band completed a great day.

The Sanibel School serves approximately 375 students in grades kindergarten through eight. Students live on Captiva and Sanibel Islands as well as the mainland of southwest Florida. The school is dedicated to providing a challenging academic curriculum with an emphasis on environmental education and community connection.

Teachers and staff are dedicated to going beyond the basics to enrich all students in a warm and loving atmosphere. School goals and priorities are based upon our understanding of the future and the world in which our students will live as adults.
