Fun at the Captiva Memorial Library

1 min read

Last Saturday at the Captiva Memorial Library, some island residents arrived for a rousing game of “Name that Source,” a kind of trivia scavenger hunt for young adults. The game required participants to spin a wheel that would indicate a topic, listen to the question and then put all of the library’s resources to work in finding the answers. Answers found by computer were worth 1 point and answers found in books were worth 3 points.

Islanders Chris and Ty Christoff, who have been coming to the library since they were babies, put the library’s many valuable resources to good use.

There will be a program for kids and families called “Fall into Fall” on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 3 p.m. Autumn-themed stories, poems, songs and a special craft are all on the agenda.

Call the library, 472-2133, for more information.
