‘Disaster House’ kicks off first season on DIY

1 min read

One of DIY’s newest weekly series, “Disaster House,” is searching Sanibel, Captiva and the surrounding areas to find surprising and unique home disasters.

Each half-hour episode includes simulations of accidental or natural catastrophes done to our disaster house based in Denver, Colo. We then bring in a construction expert to demonstrate to our viewers the best way to repair the damage.

Each episode also features a “Disaster of the Week,” showcasing a homeowner’s personal story of an unusual disaster in their own home.

We are currently looking for homeowners who:

Have experienced a surprising or unusual home disaster

Have photos and/or videos of that disaster

Are eager to share their story on a phone interview

The series will premiere this winter and is produced for DIY by High Noon Entertainment in Denver. You can learn more about High Noon Entertainment by visiting our Web site at www.highnoonentertainment.com.

Homeowners who would like to be considered for the program should contact Chad Swift by phone at 303-712-3267 or by e-mail at cswift@highnoonentertainment.com.
