‘Something To CROW About’ art auction and wine tasting returns on Sunday
The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) announces that it’s sixth annual art auction – “Something to CROW About” – will be held this Sunday, March 8 at Trader’s Caf on Sanibel from 4 to 7 p.m.
Art, inspired by wildlife or nature is the theme of this year’s auction and an impressive array of paintings, photography, jewelry and other pieces are being assembled for both the silent and live auction. Lily & Co. Fine Jewelry is the title sponsor for this event with their donation of a sterling silver bracelet with accents of 18K yellow gold. This is an original design by Marya Dabrowski. The bracelet features a cushion checkerboard cut peridot in the center and is surrounded by the lotus design in 18K. Also donated by Lily’s and available for auction is a gentleman’s strap watch by Louis Erard.
In addition to our title sponsor, John Grey Painting is a “Rescuer” sponsor. Coral Veterinary Clinic and Bank of the Islands are “Protector” sponsors.
Trader’s will host the event again this year and always provides delectable hors d’ouerves for auction attendees. The “Wine Toss” provides great fun for all and a chance to win a bottle of your favorite vintage of the evening.

The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) was established in 1968 and is one of the nation’s leading wildlife rehabilitation hospitals for native and migratory wildlife. A non-profit wildlife veterinary hospital, CROW provides medical care for more than 4,000 injured, sick and orphaned wildlife patients every year, with the goal of returning them to their natural habitat.
In 2009, CROW opened its new Healing Winds Visitor Education Center, an interactive facility that allows guest to learn first-hand about the organization’s mission. The Healing Winds Visitor Education Center is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the admission donation is $5 for adults and children over three years of age.
