‘Party for the Pets’ benefit to be held on Sunday
A fun-filled event being held to help needy pets get food and medical care is being held at the Jacaranda this weekend.
Come to Happy Hour at the Jacaranda, 1223 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel on Sunday, April 26th, from 5 to 8 p.m. and have a great time while you help our pets in need.
Brenda Kinnaman, a local resident, is coordinating the event to help homeless pets during the rough economic times. Lee County Animal Services is overwhelmed with requests for assistance.
The event is open to the public, all animal lovers. Guests are asked to bring dog or cat food that is high in protein, or may make a donation to Lee County Animal Services/Argyle’s Cure.
This fun event for our furry friends will feature the fabulous live music of Mark Macomber, happy hour food and drink specials, silent auction, and lots of fun for animal lovers of all ages. Have a specialty cocktail, like a “Barkarita”, browse the interesting silent auction, and help our pets in need at the same time.
Some items in the silent auction will include prints from prominent artist Myra Roberts vintage dog collection as well as other art pieces, relaxing therapeutic massage (option of deep tissue or aroma therapy) by Sanibel’s Marit Hansen Mouchou, and other special items, such as a boat trip, limo service, dinners and much more.
There will be a special appearance by Mark Macomber. This is a rare opportunity to see this celebrated professional share his talent.
His original songwriting, great renditions of classic tunes, and stage presence make him a popular draw.
