Gemma Simpson, 10, of Cincinnati, Ohio, found three scotch bonnets and three alphabet cones on Aug. 8 on Cayo Costa, as well as a lightning whelk near Donax Street on Sanibel. She was on vacation with her family. James Simpson added that his daughter has been coming to Sanibel since she was 4 months old and she has a keen eye for shells.
