Vote for Colombo
To the editor:
As elections fast approach, I thought I would throw my two cents in the proverbial well on a judicial candidate up for election. We tend to not have many contested judicial elections in this part of Florida, so instead of just choosing a judicial candidate that randomly appears on your ballot, consider Michael Colombo. That is who is getting my vote, as I have seen first hand what qualities it takes to be a fair, knowledgeable and well rounded judge. Attorney Michael Colombo has those qualities and has shown the right temperament to be a great judge for the citizens of the circuit and the residents of Sanibel and Captiva.
I have practiced in many different county courthouses in the Twentieth Judicial Circuit, from Hendry, to Charlotte, to Lee, and Collier, and have seen Michael Colombo fighting for justice in each of them as a prosecutor and now as a defense attorney. He has always been a fair person and has always treated everyone with respect and dignity. His integrity is second to none and his experience is what we need for a well rounded judge. He has tried well over a 100 cases, was formerly a special agent defending our country in the chaotic times of 9/11. He is a member o f the Florida Bar Professional Ethics Committee. As a former federal agent and prosecutor, Colombo has handled a variety of complex cases, everything from terrorism, human trafficking, immigration, SVU cases, exploitation of the elderly, and violent charges. His 17-plus years in law enforcement and seven-plus years of representing the common folk has made Colombo the most capable judicial candidate we can choose this election. So vote for Colombo, or randomly pick him, whichever you’d like.
