BIG ARTS awards annual arts scholarships
BIG ARTS recently announced its 2024 Performing and Creative Arts Scholarship recipients.
This year, the program awarded a total of $25,000 to six local students, recognizing their outstanding dedication and artistic promise. The recipients were recognized at the Annual Art Vibe on June 15.
“We are thrilled to support these remarkable students through our Performing and Creative Arts Scholarship Program,” Executive Director Lee Ellen Harder said. “Their passion and talent inspire us, and we are excited to see how they will contribute to the arts in the future.”
This year’s recipients are:
– Evan Carville, University of Central Florida, pursuing a Bachelor of Music Education
– Sarah Conley, Lynn Conservatory of Music, pursuing a Bachelor of Music
– Cole Ellis, Berklee College of Music, pursuing a Bachelor of Music
– Hazel Fitzpatrick, University of Central Florida, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in music
– Arabella Lilleslatten, Rollins College, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts
– Zachary Yoshida, Art Institute of Chicago, pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts
Since 1998, the scholarship program has supported high school and college students from Lee County in their pursuit of higher education in the visual and performing arts. Each recipient exemplifies the commitment to excellence and creativity that BIG ARTS aims to foster in the community.
Applications for the 2025 scholarships will open on Jan. 1.
