Lion’s paw found on Sanibel
Frankie Linsmayer found a 2.75-inch lion’s paw on June 21 at the west end of West Gulf Drive on Sanibel. With the Strawberry Moon setting over the Gulf of Mexico and the sun rising, she found the shell lying in the sand, camouflaged just a bit by the red drift algae that had washed ashore. It is the third significant lion’s paw that Frankie has found in nine years. She heads out at first light every day seeking the abundant, ever-changing beauty in nature and warm greetings of her friends.
