The Sanibel Police Department reported that it is scheduled to conduct active shooter training on June 1 from 8 a.m. to noon at The Sanibel School, at 3840 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel.

During the training, simunitions will be employed, and loud “popping” noises may be heard from the premises. It reported that there will be no emergency at the school.
