SanCap Cares hosted the 24th Annual Island Celebration on March 14 at The Community House on Sanibel. Themed “Tropical Nights,” it raised more than $800,000 for the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida’s planned Pediatric Surgery Center. Attendees browsed Give-to-Give silent auction items, enjoyed dinner and a brief program hosted by Jeff Muddell from The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, and were entertained by The Bay Kings Band. They also heard updates from the Golisano team and Lee Health Chief Executive Officer Dr. Larry Antonucci highlighting the hospital’s strides in addressing pediatric healthcare needs within the community. The trust company again served as the presenting sponsor, while Al and Sally Hanser were recognized as the 2024 honorary chairs.
