Memorial, more presented at motor club event
The San Cap Motor Club hosted its monthly Cruise-in on March 3 at the Periwinkle Place Shops on Sanibel. During the event, members Todd Roberts and Roger Grogman unveiled a memorial commemorating the many lost vehicles in Hurricane Ian. Created by artist Ray Drea, the piece is a working “expired” parking meter with a listing of more than 50 vehicles. In addition, the club honored founder Scot Congress for keeping the group going after the hurricane. He was presented with a watercolor painting of his 1968 Olds 442, also created by Drea.
