BIG ARTS is hosting “Uprising,” by Wendy Klemperer, from now through April 28 on the outdoor grounds on Sanibel. The exhibition features drawings, paintings and sculptures that capture the essence of local wildlife. Her work, often likened to three-dimensional drawing, utilizes the boundless nature of line to convey motion and emotion. Also, “Gatha Poem Painting” by Beth Schroeder in on display from now through April 21 in the Mezzanine Gallery. Inspired by nature, Asian art and meditation, the intention is to give viewers an opportunity to cultivate a feeling of safety, lovingkindness and peace. The BIG ARTS Fine Arts Series is sponsored by Jim and Gaye Pigott.
