The “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge reported that from Feb. 20 through March 14, the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge’s Wildlife on Wheels spent time with students at Sunshine Elementary in Lehigh Acres. During the final week, first-graders learned about anatomical features of frogs — how the back legs allow them to jump and their long sticky tongues help them catch food needed for survival. The WoW’s next stop is Lehigh Elementary from March 25 to April 18.
