Shell museum to hold adult education class
The Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum & Aquarium will hold a “Shell Photography For All” class on March 6 from 10 a.m. to noon at its facility, at 3075 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel. Taught by curator and Science Director Dr. José H. Leal, it will include a presentation, discussion and hands-on learning. Participants will learn how to photograph shells in nature and in a controlled environment using cameras and equipment other than smart phones. Photography of small shells at home will also be covered. Participants will learn methods of shell photography applicable to documentation, collection curating, social media and art.
