Tickets available for fundraiser to benefit Sanibel Sea School
The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation will host the Cause for the Campus on March 2 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Bailey Homestead Preserve, at 1300 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
Proceeds from the event will support the rebuild at the Sanibel Sea School’s campus in time for its summer programming. A part of the SCCF family, the school’s mission is to improve the ocean’s future, one person at a time, and it embraces the SCCF’s mission to protect and care for Southwest Florida’s coastal ecosystems.
“It will be a great night to ‘raise the roof’ — in more ways than one,” the SCCF reported. “By attending, you’ll join like-minded islanders who believe in the vision of a world where all people value, understand and care for the ocean.”
The event will include a cocktail hour in the pavilion, tented dinner on the lawn and live entertainment. A short film capturing the school’s culture and educational impact, underwritten by the Jenni and Kyle Foundation, will be premiered. Afterward, a cause-related auction will take place to fund the following needs:
– A new roof on the front building
– Wraparound decking on the Kennedy Building
– An outdoor learning amphitheater
– A fully refurbished and upgraded play yard area
– An improved storage facility
– Scholarship funding
General admission tickets are $250.
