Twins announce Spring Training home schedule
The Minnesota Twins recently announced the home schedule for its 2022 Spring Training campaign, the club’s 32nd at the CenturyLink Sports Complex in Fort Myers.
It features 33 total games — 17 home and 16 road — with the home opener set for Feb. 25, an exhibition game against the University of Minnesota. The Twins’ Grapefruit League opener is set for the following day, Feb. 26, when they host the Toronto Blue Jays.
Highlighting the league games will be four contests against the Boston Red Sox (March 11, 19, 27 and 28); two games apiece against the Toronto Blue Jays (Feb. 26 and March 2), Baltimore Orioles (March 1 and 25), Tampa Bay Rays (March 4 and 12) and Atlanta Braves (March 16 and 22); and single games against the New York Yankees (March 6), Philadelphia Phillies (March 9), Detroit Tigers (March 14) and Pittsburgh Pirates (March 21).
The Twins will conclude its Spring Training schedule on March 29 with a road contest against the Boston Red Sox at JetBlue Park, before beginning the regular season with an Opening Day American League Central division contest against the Chicago White Sox on March 31 at Guaranteed Rate Field.
